Private Blue Tour

Discover the Hidden Gems of Cappadocia with our Private Blue Tour

Join us on a journey through the lesser-known parts of Cappadocia, with our Private Blue Tour. We will pick you up from your hotel at 9:30 am and start our adventure by driving to Mustafapasa, a charming town that boasts some of the most beautiful architecture in the region. This town was once a thriving Greek community until the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in 1924. Our expert guide will provide insights on this significant event and how it affected the region.

In Mustafapasa, we will visit the Greek mansions and churches that still stand as a testament to the town’s rich cultural history. We will also explore the Medrese seminary, an Islamic high school that was built during the Ottoman era. From there, we will head to the Keslik Monastery, which houses some of the rarest iconoclastic examples of Cappadocian frescoes. We will discuss the iconoclastic period between 726-843 AD, during which wall paintings were forbidden by the Byzantine Emperors.

Next, we will drive to Sahinefendi to visit the Sobesos Excavation site, where archaeologists have made many important discoveries in the last 10 years. This site features well-preserved Roman baths, tombs, basilicas, and mosaics, which offer an incredible glimpse into the ancient history of the region.

Our next stop is the Soganli Valley, one of the largest monastic centers in Cappadocia. Here, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and see the famous Soganli dolls made by the women of the village. After lunch, we will embark on an afternoon hike through the valley, where we will marvel at the breathtaking rock formations and ancient cave churches that date back to the early Christian period.

On our way back to your hotel, we can also visit one of the local carpet workshops, where you can witness the traditional carpet-making process that has been a part of Cappadocia’s culture for centuries.

Info about Cancelations

We base our itineraries on current availability and rates provided by hotels and airlines. Until we receive your deposit, the availability and rates are subject to change. Once we confirm your reservation, the rates are guaranteed. If there are any changes to your itinerary after confirmation, we will offer suitable alternatives. This is particularly important for advanced bookings, as airlines may change flight schedules due to seasonal variations.

If your agent does not provide specific information, here is our general cancellation policy:

For hotel accommodations, you may cancel up to two weeks before check-in without incurring any charges. Cancellation within one week of check-in will result in a fee equal to one night’s accommodation, and cancellation within 48 hours of reservation will result in the full amount being charged. No refunds are given for “no shows.”

For Turkish Airlines flight tickets, cancellations made up to one month before departure incur a flight penalty of 10 Euros per ticket. Cancellations made within one week to one month before departure incur a 30% cancellation fee, and those made within one week of departure incur a 50% fee. No refunds are given for no-shows, and promotional fares are non-refundable and non-changeable. This policy only applies to Turkish Airline flights, and for other airlines, please contact us for their specific cancellation restrictions.

For tours, activities, and airport transfers, you may cancel up to three days before the date without incurring any charges. Cancellation within three days but before 24 hours of the date will result in a 50% cancellation fee, while cancellations made within 24 hours of the date will result in a 100% fee. No refunds are given for no-shows.

For large groups, please refer to your agent for specific booking requirements and cancellation policies.
